Intel Atom 330 Dual Core Processor


The world's largest chip maker today announced that it has started shipping it's latest generation Atom dual core processor. Known as Intel Atom Processor 330, the chip is made using 45 nanometer fabrication process for use in netbooks. The Atom 330 features 1.6GHz core clock speed, 533MHz bus speed, 1MB of L2 cache, and HyperThreading. As for power, it consumes about 8W. According to Intel, the dual-core and single-core Atom processors are pin-compatible. The single-core Atom platforms will only need a BIOS update to support the dual-core processors
